Transcendent Touched

With multi-entendred meaning
And metaphoric sleight of hand
The multi-colored words will write
An image on your mind

Some words will dance quite naked
And bring a blush upon your face
Or anger or wrath or smile or laugh
And touch your soul with life

But subtle words will slither
Unnoticed in the layered muse
With meanings dense and so obtuse
They’ll hide before your eyes

Beware the simple verses
Or the ones that writhe and convolute
For the meanings may float like flotsam and boats
Or silently glide beneath
