We do not understand what love the Father has for us, it is more than we can imagine. (Eph 1:1-6)
We are Children of the Covenant. It was in our hearts to rebel against Him but He chose us to be with Him, to make us his Holy Ones. The Lord of the Universe has given us life and invites us to call Him Father. He is not only our Lord and King, but He is our Father and our Beloved. What kind of love does He have for us that He would invite us into such a relationship.
The song, Avinu Malkeinu, evokes the kind of emotion I feel as I think about what we have. It is a song that invokes a longing and a yearning for our Heavenly Father.
